Footprint03C sports a 1-inch ring radiator tweeter, a 3.5-inch aluminum cone midrange driver, and two forward-facing 6.5-inch aluminum-cone woofers. This monitor also retains groundbreaking magnet and motor systems, copper shorting rings, and enhanced heat-sink technology. These components work together to attenuate distortion, reinforce enhanced driver excursion, and guarantee staunch performance even under arduous conditions. Additionally, the Footprint03C sports three Class D amplifier modules, each dedicated to a specific driver: the tweeter channel has a 60-watt amplifier, while the midrange and woofer drivers are supported by dedicated 100-watt amplifiers. Finally, patented SPectrally Optimized Conversion (SPOC) technology, Multi-Emphasis Monitor Emulation (MEME) technology, and next-level digital signal processing (DSP) come together to make the Footprint03C an agile, versatile monitor that mix engineers and audiophiles alike will enjoy listening to time and time again.

DSP with extended low end

With only 3ms of latency, the Barefoot Sound Digital Signal Processor in the Footprint03C provides you with near-instantaneous response. This DSP optimizes the drive level, resulting in a low-end that simply thumps. Plus, distortion is remarkably attenuated. You'll hear every detail of your mixes and recordings with unparalleled clarity.

Patented SPectrally Optimized Conversion

The Footprint03C features the company’s SPOC technology. SPOC splits the high and low frequencies and runs them through separate conversion channels. The lows are attenuated to better fit the ADC (analog-to-digital converter); meanwhile, the high frequencies proceed through the processing steps at full resolution. 

Loaded with MEME technology

With the Footprint03C you’ll never need a secondary set of reference monitors. Barefoot Sound’s MEME technology enables you to audition your mixes through spot-on models of common reference sources, such as standard consumer playback systems, vintage NS10s, and classic mix cubes. Thanks to MEME technology, you’ll no longer have to wrestle with a crowded workspace, external power amplifiers, or vintage speakers with hard-to-find replacement parts to get a tried-and-true set of alternate reference monitors.
