    These were a welcome upgrade from my Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pros and Audio Technica M30x which I was previously using for mixing. The level of clarity and the improved sense of stereo field is amazing. I was skeptical about purchasing the VSX system after reading mixed reviews, but I can say for sure that these things work exactly as advertised. I will admit, the build quality feels cheaper than my Beyerdynamics, but they are still very comfortable to wear for extended periods and are sturdy enough. Thanks to the STL team for the quick delivery and great service

    I knew I couldn't afford high-end studio monitors and room conditioning so I was hoping these headphones would be an alternative for mixing & mastering. Happily, it's not all hype, they really work.

    If you want to take your crappy room out of the mix and actually hear what you’re doing, thIs system is a great way of doing it. Use it with some A/B referencing and hear your mix improve.

    This is the ultimate mixing solution: Immaculate sounding headphones combined with modeling software which recreates a range of pristine mixing environments. Swapping between 'spaces' instantly exposes any issues with the mix. Highly recommended!

    After reading about Slate VSX online for ages and not being able to find a stockist, I was stoked to come across STL Pro Audio. Ordered my headphones online, and they arrived at my door less than 48 hours later, awesome service and great communication. And VSX itself is everything I hoped for - it makes it possible to mix accurately without a well treated room or crazy expensive monitors. I’ve had them for only three days and already the quality of my mixes has skyrocketed. The flat response of the cans paired with the unreal modelling of the different acoustic spaces is letting me hear things in my mixes I didn’t know were there, and helping them to translate way better. An essential tool for a small/independent producer and mixer.

    These are a great alternative to a treated room with fantastic speakers. I would recommend spending the extra $$ and the get the platinum expansion from Slate that unlocks all rooms/emulations as well as free updates and releases. It takes a little getting used to, and at times you reach to turn off your speakers, only to find they are already switched off. Jump on YouTube if you need more convincing, these should really improve your mixes ten fold. My only gripe is that the cable is a little short for studio applications, but the cable is interchangeable, so just buy a good quality 3 mtr 3.5 aux cable and you're good to go. STL great service as usual!

    Really liking what the VSX has to offer. To be honest, the idea is very much what Waves already came up with - BUT with the headphones being a flat frequency response it means that a lot of the guess work for translation is taken away. The room models feel good and the price was certainly worth the product. I was hoping that it would come with the boombox as part of the original version and I'm not a huge fan of in app purchases ( or in this case in plugin purchases), but I suppose at least it makes it easy to upgrade if you wish to do so. Impressed with the headphones! Looking forward to spending many hours with them on, getting used to a studio sound and mixing with them.
